US President George W. Bush has invited Romanian President Traian Basescu to pay official visit to the White House.
A press release from Romanian presidency informs it might take place in early March. The invitation was received on Friday evening, after Bush’s phone call on the Iraqi election results.
The press release reads: "President George W. Bush phoned the head of the Romanian head to congratulate him as ally for the promising results of the Iraqi election." The announcement on this much-expected invitation follows the Romania President's recent visit to Great Britain.
